

Some units from the Kingdoms expansion have been included. This is especially true for the Eastern European factions. Many units have been retextured and some entirely new.

More diverse and historical unit rosters. You can play as the Mongols if you choose the option of a Late start campaign. *Teutons are only in the late start game. Aragon, Genoa (replaces Milan), Norway, the Teutonic Order*, the Kievan Rus, the Cumans, the Crusader States, and Khwarezmia, and two starting times of the Campaign: 1100 or 1220. The Aztecs and the Americas have been removed. Further south includes almost all of the Arabian peninsula. The eastern edge of the map is therefore deeper into Russia, and includes a large chunk of Persia. There is both more detail and regions than can be found in Vanilla M2:TW, in addition to having the game map expanded eastward past the Caucusus and the Caspian Sea. Here is a list of some of the changes that I know off the top of my head: I'll try and take a stab at giving you a gist of the differences. The current version, 6.4, is an evolved state of that, and while the game is installing it allows to you make changes based on the gameplay experience you prefer. The reason why they don't spell it out is because it changes so much! The thing you have to understand about SS is that it started as a collection of some of the best and most popular M2:TW mods.
